Briefing: where you stand
Briefing brings the active plan’s trajectory, current-law context, headline computations, and profile-completion status into one place. It reads the canonical plan and offers one inline plan-assumption edit; it does not keep a second copy of any fact or assumption.
Read the status
The hero states the plan’s current trajectory and the law year behind it. The headline tiles are Days to freedom, FI age, FI number, and Plan horizon. A tile with enough input shows a computed value. A tile without enough input names the missing owner instead of filling the gap with an optimistic number.
The memory and freshness rows describe what changed since the prior view. They do not rewrite the plan.
Explore another age
When the verdict names a retirement-age shortfall, select the age in the sentence to edit Target retirement age for the active plan. Save writes through the plan’s canonical retirement-age editor. The same canonical editor also appears in Runway, so Briefing does not introduce another authority.
This placement is deliberate: one concept, one control, edited where it is read. The separate hero lever was rejected because it repeated the same concept away from the sentence that gives it meaning.
Move Chart year to inspect the plan at another point on its trajectory. The visible headline tiles re-derive for that age. Chart year is view only: moving it does not change Target retirement age, today’s account balances, income, expenses, or plan settings.
Follow the surface that owns the edit
Selecting a computed headline tile opens its related Runway lens; those tiles remain references rather than fact editors. Target retirement age is the one inline plan-assumption editor, shared with its Runway row.
Complete your profile shows how many applicable scored facts are missing or still need confirmation. Select it to open the existing completeness panel, where What unlocks most keeps every pending fact together with its unlock framing.
Open the computation trace
Show the math ▸ opens the existing computation drawer for the Briefing explanation beside it. The drawer uses the real graph trace; the guide does not recreate the calculation or supply a sample result.
